Living in the Finger Lakes, the regional terrain has shown Victoria the peace and beauty of nature. She has always enjoyed the process of creating. Landscapes and surrealism are her main passions for expression. Victoria was experienced with fiber arts, at first making hats. She then discovered needle felting while she witnessed an inspiring demonstration. From there, she began creating her needle-felt painting and pushing herself to new limits with this medium.
The Process
Needle felting involves repeatedly poking dyed wool with felting needles to create felt. The wool is laid over a felt backing and pushed into it using barbed needles.
